Registration

Dear UCAS Students and Parents:

Greetings from UCAS! We hope you are enjoying your summer. We also hope that you are excited to start school at UCAS soon. Please use the steps below to complete registration for your student. Make sure to mark the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL as Thursday, August 15th, 9:00 am on your calendar.  

Please also mark these important dates on your calendar:

  • Registration Schedule
    • August 6: Both campuses open from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Recommended for students with last names A – M.
    • August 7: Both campuses open from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Recommended for students with last names N – Z.
    • August 8: Both campuses open from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • August 14: New student social on the Provo campus from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The social is for all 9th and 10th grade students new to UCAS. We will have a separate event for new 11th graders after school starts.
  • August 15: Fees are due. First day of school.
  • August 20: Senior Kick-Off – REQUIRED for all seniors! Time and location will be announced. More details will be coming.
  • August 21: First day of UVU classes.
  • August 22: Back to school night – both campuses, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. ALL parents are encouraged to attend.
  • August 28: Picture Day

UCAS uses e-mail to communicate with students and parents. If your e-mail contact information changes, please contact Julie Schiffman at julie.schiffman@ucas-edu-net.

If you prefer written or e-mail communication in Spanish, please contact your school counselor to let us know. Click either 9th or 10th grade / 11th or 12th grade to find your student’s school counselor contact information.

Registration Steps

Aspire SIS is the system UCAS uses to track grades and attendance. Here is a link to the login screen: https://ucas.usoe-dcs.org/Login/. We will also use Aspire to sign the required forms. Many of the forms need both a student's and a parent's signature, so please be sure to have your student with you when you create or log into your PARENT Aspire account. The forms cannot be signed from a student's Aspire account. Signatures must be completed by August 15. Here is how to access the forms:

Once you are logged in, click on "Can Register for Grade..." You will then have access to confirm your contact information and to review the forms. Here are the steps to create an account if you don't already have one:

  1. PARENTS MUST create an Aspire SIS account in order to complete registration. Here are the instructions:
    1. If you are not already registered on Aspire SIS as a parent, go to https://ucas.usoe-dcs.org/Register. You will need your student’s UCAS ID number and date of birth.
    2. Follow the instructions to create an account. Once you are logged in, you can subscribe to weekly grade and attendance updates for your student. Here are those instructions.
  2. Instructions for NEW students:
    1. Your UCAS ID number was sent to a parent email account in a separate email. Please look that up and note it now.
    2. Once you have your UCAS ID, go to https://ucas.usoe-dcs.org/Login/
    3. Use your UCAS ID for your username.
    4. Your password is the word ucas followed by your 8-digit birthday. So, if my birthdate were March, 8, 1920, my password would be ucas03081920

Schedules for Fall Semester are available on SIS. If you don't see your schedule, the counselor is probably still working on entering it into our system. Don't worry, you will see it soon! You may also receive a copy when you come to the school to finish your registration.

If you need help logging into Aspire, we will be available during registration to answer your questions.

You can use the lunch payment website to add money to your student's lunch account, or you can pay in the front office on either campus.

NEW STUDENTS: USBE is having some issues with their system. This is preventing our students from filling out their UVU application. We will send you information about applying for UVU as soon as it is available. You will not be able to complete concurrent enrollment registration until you have been able to apply to UVU and you have your UVU ID number. You may want to bypass this step until that time.

9th and 10th Graders: Provo Campus: 2121 N 550 W, Provo, 801-225-8227, option 1

11th and 12th Graders: Orem Campus: 940 W 800 S, Orem, 801-225-8227, option 2

You will complete the following activities

  1. Register for your UVU concurrent enrollment classes. Please bring your 8-digit UV ID number if you have already applied to UVU. If you are having issues with the UVU application process, you can come to the school and we will help you.
  2. Pay UCAS fees.
  3. Meet with a UCAS counselor, if needed.
  1. Fees are due by August 15, 2024.
  2. In order to pay the correct amount, it is suggested that fees be paid in the front office when you come for registration (see step 5). This also helps you avoid a surcharge from paying online. We DO NOT take American Express.

  4. You can also pay fees online. Paying by check is the cheapest online option.
  5. Fee waivers are available for those who qualify. An application is available here. A Spanish version can be found here.

You only need to do this if you are a new UCAS student.

  1. Your bus pass will not work until you have registered for at least one concurrent enrollment class.
  2. Getting your UVU activity card can (and should) be done completely online this year.
  3. Follow this link for instructions: https://www.uvu.edu/campusconnection/id-cards/index.html#start-the-process
    • Scroll down and hover over the picture on the left that says: Step 1 - Submit Photo
    • Click “Submit a Photo” when it pops up.
    • Follow the on screen instructions.
  4. After you submit your photo, check your UVU email for instructions from campus connect to finish the process.

Please wait until Wednesday, August 7 to complete this step.

UCAS uses gmail for student email addresses. Go to gmail.com. Your username is firstname.lastname@ucas-edu.net. The exact name that is used for your email can be found in your student Aspire SIS account.

Your initial password is "changeme4" (without the quotations). You will be forced to change your password when you log in.

All teachers at UCAS are being asked to use canvas to post course material. 

The required forms can be viewed here under the registration forms tab. They are there for your future reference, as well.
