Do you know about SafeUT?

SafeUT is a tool designed to provide confidential two-way communication with SafeUT crisis counselors or school staff through the SafeUT Mobile App or Web.

Students can call or chat 24/7 and speak directly to a crisis counselor or start a CrisisChat through the mobile app or web. Students can also send non-crisis tips to school officials regarding topics such as bullying, cyberbullying, gang activity, drug & alcohol activity, and more.

All tips are completely anonymous.

The SafeUT Mobile App is available in the Apple and Google Play stores. Students can also chat by text message. If you have worries about yourself or a friend, text "start" to 741741 to to chat with a U of U professional.

Protection Seminars

The Utah County Academy of Sciences (UCAS) invites you to attend a youth protection seminar (House Bill 298). The seminars are specifically for parents and community members who work with students. Topics for the evening will cover substance abuse, bullying, mental health (including suicide prevention), and Internet safety. UCAS will hold one of these seminars every year. Please see the UCAS calendar for exact dates and times.

At UCAS we feel these seminars are highly important. We strongly encourage you to attend. If you have questions or concerns please contact your UCAS counselor. We are happy to meet with you to help resolve any issues and help protect your student(s) in any way we can.
