Step 2: Apply for UVU once prompted by an email from our Registrar

Step 2: Apply for UVU once prompted by an email from our Registrar

Sometime around the end of July or early August, you will receive instructions to apply to UVU as a concurrent enrollment student. This will require a $35 application fee. After 24-48 hours, you should receive an email with your UVU ID. You will need this number to activate your MyUVU, register for the Concurrent Enrollment courses that you will take next semester, and obtain a UVU ID Card for your UTA bus pass.

Step 3: Attend Registration

Step 3: Attend Registration

This is not the same as orientation! At registration, we will help you log onto ASPIRE, CANVAS, and enroll in the correct Concurrent Enrollment courses. You will also pay UCAS course fees where you may opt to purchase your yearbook and maybe get some swag. This is also a great time to set up your lunch account. During registration, new and returning parents and students will fill out the annual registration paperwork and sign agreements. This is an open house type event where staff will be available during a window of time on certain dates. Check your email for suggested times to come in.

Step 4: Attend the Opening Social!

Step 4: Attend the Opening Social!

Our opening social is the day before our official first day of school. New Students are invited to attend a fun social event between 9am and 12pm where we will play games, have team building experiences, meet new and returning students, and have lunch together! Parents need not attend. Please note that Counselors, Administrators, Faculty and Staff will not be available during this time to answer parent questions as they will be very involved with getting to know our new students.

Step 5: Buckle Up for a Great Experience!

Make sure you attend your first day of school (and every day after that)! You will learn policies about deadlines and late work and in some cases begin homework on day 1! Get organized! Make sure to use your planner; have a study or homework plan ready, and stay on top of things. Come see us if you feel overwhelmed so we can help you strategize.
