I am a Utah guy through and through. I spent my elementary years overseas in Beirut and Lebanon, but since that time, Utah has been my home base! I am a graduate of Wasatch High School in Heber City, then went on to earn my B.A. in Psychology teaching at BYU and completed a MAed in School Counseling through the University of Phoenix. My wife and I both went into the education field and have loved being able to discuss and encourage each other in our careers. I have 5 children and 12 grandkids to brag about.

I spent 29 years with Provo School District working as a teacher and counselor at Dixon Middle School, then as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Provo High, and ended my career there as the counselor at Independence High, the alternative high school for the district.  I enjoyed that position far more than I thought I would. I have been at UCAS since August of 2018 and I am thrilled to be part of an amazing counseling team here.

I enjoy all things outdoors but can usually be found on my bike (cyclist, not biker!) While my wife does not share my passion for cycling, we love exploring Utah on our ATV together!

It is so much fun to be part of the UCAS team and be a part of helping students get a jump on their college, career, and future dreams.
